Online Courses

Many states and provinces offer alternative courses that allow students to take part of the hunter education course online. Students who complete the online training are normally required to attend instructor-led sessions to complete additional testing and skills training.

This online course provides a good introduction to hunting for someone who wants to learn more about it. It also gives families a way to study together at home, at a comfortable pace. Many people study the lessons in this course to fully prepare for a traditional course.

IHEA-USA offers the standard  course in either English or Spanish. To learn more about the course, browse the lessons, or enroll, click one of the links below. Currently, there is NO CHARGE to use the IHEA-USA online course. Some agencies may charge fees to complete the instructor-led portions of a course.

NOTE: With recent updates to the course all browsers should be working with either Mac or Windows. If you experience problems with the course you can call 614-834-9000 for technical assistance with browsers. Please be able to tell us the page you are on when the problems occurs along with the name and version number of your browser.

If you have questions about hunter education requirements call your state or provincial hunter education coordinator.
